Introduction

SALVATION OF OUR DEAR COUNTRY.

Salvation is of the Lord. Let your God work through you to salvage this nation (Who is a nation? It is you and I) from it’s structural defects that may lead to imminent collapse that no one will be able to withstand its consequences.

01

.SALVATION of our dear country-Nigeria lies in our hands and should be uppermost in our hearts. We understand the disillusionment, justification for anger and apathy to vote, feel the hopelessness, frustration and depression occasioned by insecurities and lack of basic amenities that lead to abject poverty, injustice, inequalities, corruption, unemployment, squandering of our patrimony in all facets of our national life.

Pathfinders For Right Leadership Educators Association (PARLEA) aka voters’ association is encouraging us not to be tired, not to be weary, do not be frustrated, and please be courageous more than ever before as we shall get to the promised land one day not too far away. IF WE CAN DO THIS- VOTE FOR RESTRUCTURING CANDIDATES. This is a call on all Nigerians to sacrifice time, energy, resources, past experience, knowledge and wisdom to salvage our dear country from bad governance from ages past up till now that may result to imminent collapse and catastrophy. We have put in place robust strategies to establish new political order (not political party) for our dear nation. We can do it with spirit of oneness to actualize the group vision statement, our diversity not withstanding.

02

We have researched and concluded that we are yet to fully exploit the potentials inherent in the political space and system which is the surest, easiest and safest way rather than war, strikes or protests to effect the positive change for justice, fairness and equity we all deserved. According to John F. Kennedy “Change is the law of life and those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future”. Future of Nigeria and Nigerians must be paramount in our hearts.

Further findings from our research also revealed that the following categories of people have completely lost hope in Nigeria structure and systems;

i. Majority of academicians/scholars
ii. Some well to do/ comfortable ones iii. The enlightened ones
iv. The educated youths/students
v. Some artisans/trades men & women
vi.Those that lives in g.r.a. and estates
vii.Some market men and women
viii.Some religious groups/ leaders
ix. Notable and eminent personalities
x. Captains of industries/CEO.
xi .The unemployed/underemployed.

“One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors” -Plato

03

Though the above mentioned felt so much concerned about the down turn of the economy and insecurities but never participate fully in the electoral processes that elect those political leaders in governance ie vote and be voted for, claiming politics is dirty whereas politics is not dirty, we only left it in the hands of dirty people. Some thought to vote is a waste of time and resources or demeaning to go and queue to register for parmanent voter’s card and queue to vote during elections.

On the day of elections, they stay glued to their television sets watching others on queue to choose for them, forgetting that what others choose is what they will live by till next election, forgetting that who has polical power have it all, also forgetting that next power to God’s power is political power that drives the destiny of a nation. Who is that nation? You and I. That is why you cannot continue to sit on the fence. The earlier these groups of people mentioned above realise this is a call to sacrifice their time, resources, wisdom, knowledge, wealth of experience used in analysing the socio-economic problems and vote accordingly in all elections to choose credible political leaders for the nation in other to override stomach infrastructure votes, the better for us.

“The ignorance of one voter in a democracy impairs the security of all”-Plato

Therefore, we urge you to study our foundation, vision and mission statement.

Therefore, we urged you to study our foundation, vision and mission statements with understanding and spread these throughout the country. You will realize we have not said anything new, we only want to achieve the popular yarnings of the majority through votes instead of strikes/protests on our streets. We appeal to the above groups to join us as we prepare to vote in order to override votes for ‘stomach infrastructure’

05

Finally, we urged you to register on our membership page. Your information is safe and highly confidential. Members will be segregated according to local governments, wards and polling units while mobilising ourselves should start from polling units for purpose of holding monthly or quarterly online/physical meetings where our strategies for new political order(not political party) will be unveiled. Let’s give it a trial. Believe and have trust in us. With you, we shall succeed. I will like end this message with this quotation “One of the penalties for refusing to VOTE or participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors” -Plato.

God bless Nigeria shall be our new song in no distant time.

Thank you.

OUR VOTES COUNT!

Why? Procedure at Polling Units Is 70% Reliable & convincing enough though it can also be improved upon.

1. Inec officials always come with checklist of electoral materials to the polling units.
2. Party agents are invited to witness counting of these items and confirm correctness.
3. This is done in the full glare of voters present at that moment.
4. Ballot papers are quorously counted before voting commence.
5. Accreditation of voters and voting begins.
6. Sorting and counting of ballot papers accordingly commence.
7. Results are announced and entered into result sheets in present of party agents and voters.
8. Results are transmitted through text msg to inec office.
9. Result sheets are signed and shared to party agents.
10. One is given to a Police officer assigned to collect such result.
11. One is posted on the wall at polling unit.
12. All the unused ballot papers are cancelled with marker to render it useless.
13. Palliative distributed by political parties further attest to the fact that our votes count.
14. Osun state last election results is an example. Instead of inconclusive outcome, results could have been manipulated in favour of ruling party if it is that easy to do.

Stop sitting on the fence. Do not allow others to decide for you. Remember with or without you democracy continues.
